How to find your djay Pro data and move it to a new device

This guide explains where djay Pro stores playlists, cue points, MIDI mappings, recordings, and other user data on macOS and Windows — and how to move that data to a new device.

  • Backups: automatic backups of the djay Media Library
  • Key Bindings: custom keyboard shortcut sets
  • MIDI Mappings: custom MIDI controller mappings
  • Recordings: audio and video recordings
  • Samples and Sampler Presets: custom samples and sampler presets

Track analysis data is stored in:

~/Library/Group Containers/VJXTL73S8G.com.algoriddim.userdata/Library/Application Support/Algoriddim/

If you downloaded djay Pro from the Algoriddim website:

~/Library/Application Support/Algoriddim

This folder includes:

  • djay Preset Library.plist: cue points, downbeats, and other user data
  • Metadata: analyzed song data (waveforms, beat grids, etc.)
  • Sets: DJ set history as shown in the djay Pro Media Library
  • Samples & Sampler Presets: custom audio samples and presets
  • Video Effects: custom overlays for video mode (text or image)

Move djay Pro to a new Mac

  1. Locate the folders shown above for your installed version of djay Pro.
  2. Copy these folders in full (for example: djay, Backups, metadata folders).
  3. Install djay Pro on the new Mac.
  4. Quit djay completely.
  5. Paste the copied folders into the same locations on the new Mac.
  6. Open djay — your playlists, cue points, settings, and history will appear automatically.
note

Ensure djay is closed before moving data.
Copy full folders rather than individual files for best results.
