Introduction

You can connect a supported DJ MIDI controller to djay on any platform to unlock hands-on control of mixing, scratching, and performance features. djay automatically detects most class-compliant controllers and configures them instantly.

To connect your MIDI controller to djay Pro for Mac:

  1. Connect your controller to your Mac using a compatible USB cable.
  2. Power on your controller if it has an external power switch.
  3. Launch djay Pro. The app will automatically recognize the controller and load its official mapping.

If using a Bluetooth-enabled controller (like the Hercules DJControl Mix):

  1. Turn on Bluetooth on your Mac.
  2. Open djay Pro > MIDI > Connect Bluetooth Controller.
  3. Select your controller and click Connect.
Important

Some controllers include built-in audio interfaces. You can select your preferred output device in djay > Settings > Audio Devices/Configuration.

tip

If your controller isn’t detected, disconnect and reconnect it after launching djay.
