note

You can connect CDJ-3000s to a DJM-900NXS2 (or CDJ-TOUR1s to a DJM-TOUR1) using USB-HID control via LAN cables. Connect your device to the mixer with a single USB cable, and djay Pro will automatically sync with both the mixer and CDJs. The DJM mixer's built-in audio interface is used for audio output, providing a streamlined setup.

Setting up a Pioneer CDJ

Like all officially supported hardware, selected Pioneer DJ media players are plug-and-play. Once connected, djay Pro will prompt you to assign each CDJ to a deck.

note

Setup steps may vary slightly depending on the model.

djay Pro for Mac provides native integration with several popular CDJ models. You can connect up to 4 CDJs simultaneously.

The following guide (except for the PRO DJ LINK setup) also applies to other single deck controllers.

Controlling your music with CDJs

Depending on hardware features, you will have direct access to many of the software functions like loops, key lock, or playlist browsing. Generally, you can expect to use your media player as you would with USB or CD. The built-in screens will also display track information in real-time.

note

If you have nested playlists within folders, you’ll need to access them via the library browser as it isn’t possible via the media player navigation.
