Audio interfaces
djay Pro works seamlessly with a wide range of audio interfaces, whether they’re built into a DJ controller or used as standalone devices. Understanding the difference between the two helps you choose the right setup for your workflow.
DJ controllers with built-in audio interfaces
Many controllers from brands like Pioneer, Reloop, or Numark include an integrated sound card. These are typically plug-and-play and let you control djay directly using jog wheels, faders, and performance pads while handling your audio input and output automatically.
You can find the full list of compatible controllers on the DJ Gear page.
Standalone audio interfaces
Standalone audio interfaces are external devices that manage audio input and output but don’t include physical DJ controls. They’re ideal if you prefer to use a traditional mixer or other hardware setup with djay Pro.
djay supports a wide range of external audio interfaces:
- On Windows, djay should be compatible with any audio interface recognized by your computer.
Compatibility and support
While most audio interfaces that work with your operating system will also work with djay, performance may vary depending on the hardware. Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer troubleshooting or customer support for hardware we’re not familiar with.
For the best experience, use officially supported devices listed on the DJ Gear page.
