Preparing your device for uninterrupted DJing in djay

Getting interrupted by a call, message, or system alert during a DJ set can disrupt your flow.

This guide shows you how to silence notifications, reduce distractions, and keep your device performance-ready while using djay.

Preparing your Mac for uninterrupted DJing

Enable a DJing Focus mode

  1. Open System Settings > Focus.
  2. Tap +, choose Custom, and name it DJing.
  3. Set Allowed Notifications for both People and Apps to None.
  4. Turn off Time Sensitive Notifications.
  5. (Optional) Set the Focus mode to activate automatically when you open djay.
note

If you already created a DJing Focus mode on your iPhone or iPad, it will automatically sync to your Mac if you’re using the same Apple ID.
