In djay for iOS, you can add your own audio samples or customize an existing Sampler Pack. To do so, just follow these steps:
-
- Open the Sampler/Looper using the far right icon on the djay Pro AI screen.
-
In 2 Deck-View, open the Sampler (not the Looper). You'll find both options at the bottom-right side of the app.
In the Classic View, you'll find these buttons in the center of the screen.
- Tap on the Sample Pack name ("Essentials" above) to open the Sample Pack Menu. By tapping on the + sign, you can create your own custom Sample Pack. First, give your Sample Pack a name. In the example below, it's called: "my own sample pack".
-
You can now go ahead and edit your own sample pack by tapping on the Pencil icon. When the Pencil icon is active (blue), you'll see a three-dot icon appear on each of the sampler slots to allow you to edit them individually. Now you have several options:
- You can select a Sample from your downloaded Sample Packs.
- You can add your own audio file as a Sample through the My Samples section. Tap on the folder icon below and browse through your Files app to find the desired audio file.
- You may also directly record a sample from one of the decks by clicking and holding the desired button. Note: Due to licensing agreements, it's not possible to record samples from tracks from streaming services.
- Open the Sampler/Looper using the far right icon on the djay Pro AI screen.
