Most MIDI controllers and audio devices are fully supported on Windows 10 without the need for additional drivers. If you are unable to use pre-cueing (a.k.a. monitor/headphone output) with your audio device please try the following suggestions:
- First, please ensure that your audio device supports at least 4 audio output channels (i.e. two separate stereo outputs). Note that combining multiple audio devices for master output and pre-cueing is currently not supported in djay Pro for Windows.
- Install the Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) or later. The Creators Update adds native support for all class-compliant USB audio interfaces with support for multiple output channels, so most devices are now fully supported with pre-cueing.
- If you are already running Windows 10 version 1703 or later and pre-cueing is still not working, please try uninstalling any previously installed drivers for your audio device to ensure the native system drivers are used.
- Finally, some MIDI controllers and audio devices may still require a hardware driver to be installed to be fully supported on Windows 10. Please check your manufacturer’s website for more information:
Please contact us if your audio device is still not working after following the steps above.
