Deck views
djay offers multiple deck views so you can choose the layout that best fits your style, needs, and setup. You can switch between them via the Dashboard.
Tap the Dashboard button to open the View Modes menu, where you can switch between three deck layouts: Starter, Classic, and Automix.
Starter is the easiest place to begin if you're new to DJing, Classic gives you the traditional two-deck setup once you're ready to mix by hand, and Automix keeps the music going on its own when you just want a continuous, hands-free mix.
djay adapts to your device orientation, whether vertical or horizontal. Positioning your device horizontally provides more screen space and mimics the standard DJ layout, which can make mixing easier.
Starter
The Starter view simplifies the interface by focusing on essential functions, so you can learn the basics right away.
When using the crossfader to mix the tracks, they are automatically tempo-blended. This means that djay automatically syncs the tempo between decks as you move it, and tracks blend smoothly together without manual beatmatching. For the full range of Crossfader FX effects, see Crossfader FX.
Classic
The default Classic view displays the decks as virtual turntables, emulating the feel of a vinyl setup to build familiarity.
Automix
Automix mode automates track transitions, allowing you to step away from the decks, without interrupting the playback.
