Neural Mix™ overview

Neural Mix™ gives you direct control over the building blocks of a song—vocals, drums, and harmonics—so you can isolate, blend, or reshape them in real time. The interface puts these controls right at your fingertips, making it easy to experiment with stem mixing, create mashups, or fine-tune transitions.

Getting familiar with the Neural Mix™ layout is the first step to unlocking its creative potential.

1. Neural Mix™ bar: Click this to show or hide the Neural Mix™ toolbar beneath the decks.

2. Neural Mix™ solo icons: If you enable individual stem waveforms, solo icons will appear next to each waveform. These let you instantly solo a specific stem. If you're not using the individual waveform view, you can still access the solo icons via the toolbar.

3. Neural Mix™ crossfaders: Blend the Neural Mix™ stems between both decks. Great for teasing and combining individual track elements.

4. Neural Mix™ mute FX: Trigger optional echo tails when muting or soloing stems. Instead of cutting the audio instantly, Mute FX adds a smooth echo tail, making transitions sound more polished and professional.

   You can choose the length of the echo tail:

   • 1 beat
   • ¾ beat
   • ½ beat

5. Neural Mix™ EQ mode: Use the dropdown to switch between Classic EQ and Neural Mix™ EQ. When Neural Mix™ is selected, the EQ knobs control the following:

   • Low = Drums
   • Mid = Harmonics
   • High = Vocals

6. Neural Mix™ essential tools: Click the Essential Tools dropdown menu to choose between Instrumental + Acapella or Percussive + Tonal stem control options.

   

7. Stem mute buttons: Use these to instantly mute any individual stem.

8. Stem volume faders: Each stem has its own volume fader, letting you mix and blend each element independently.

9. Toolbar dropdown: Use this dropdown to choose whether you want to control grouped stems (e.g., instrumental and acapella) or individual stems (e.g., drums, harmonics, vocals).
