Using multiple MIDI mappings

djay Pro allows you to create and manage multiple MIDI mapping configurations for a single controller. This is useful if you want to switch between different control setups—for example, using one configuration to trigger samples and another to control audio FX or loops.

How to create an alternate configuration

1. Open the MIDI Configuration window.
2. Click Edit Configurations.
3. Select your current configuration from the list.
4. Click Options, then choose Duplicate.
5. Rename the duplicated configuration by double-clicking its name (Optional).

How to switch between configurations

1. Use the MIDI Configuration menu at the top of the MIDI Configuration window.
2. Select the configuration you want to use. djay Pro will automatically load the selected mapping, making it easy to switch setups on the fly.
