Recording your own samples

Sampler lets you capture your own sounds to use as custom samples, whether from the decks or a connected microphone.

This is a great way to add signature sounds, personalize your sets, and make your mixes stand out.

How to create samples

  1. Open the Sampler and click the Edit button (pencil icon).
  2. Click the three dots on the pad you want to replace to open the Choose sample window.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and find the Record new sample section.
  4. Choose a recording source:
    • Deck 1
    • Microphone
    • Deck 2
  5. Click and hold the button for the source you want to record. Release when you want to stop recording.
  6. Your recording will automatically be saved to the My Samples folder. You can rename each sample as you like.
  7. You can now add recorded samples to the sampler pads.
  8. Use the +/- buttons at the bottom of the My Samples list to add and remove samples from your storage.

To record from your mic, make sure a microphone input device is set up.
