Uninstalling djay Pro
If you need to completely remove djay Pro from your Mac—whether to do a clean reinstall or free up space—follow the steps below.
To uninstall the app only
- Open the Applications folder and delete djay Pro.
- You may be asked for your macOS administrator password to complete this step.
note
This will only remove the app itself. Your settings and personal data (like cue points, recordings, and MIDI mappings) will remain.
To reset djay Pro to factory settings
If you want to fully reset the app to its default state, use this command in Terminal:
- Open Terminal (located in Applications > Utilities).
- Copy and paste the following command:
defaults delete com.algoriddim.djay-iphone-free - Press Return
Resetting to factory settings will reset preferences but will not delete the following:
- Track metadata (BPM, beatgrids, cue points)
- Session history and recordings
- Samples and sample presets
- Video overlays and effects
- MIDI mappings
