Managing your djay account, subscription, and cross-platform access

This article explains how to create and manage your djay account, use your PRO subscription across different platforms, and find guidance for restoring purchases or accessing legacy features.

Your PRO subscription and your djay account

First, let's clarify the difference between a PRO subscription and a djay account.

• PRO Subscription
  Your djay PRO subscription is the paid subscription that unlocks djay's full feature set. It can be purchased through Apple, Google, or Microsoft, whichever store you're using.

• djay Account
  Your djay account doesn't unlock anything by itself. It simply connects the subscription you already own across your devices, so once you've subscribed on one platform, you can sign into the same djay account on another platform and use it there too.

tip

On the same platform, your store (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) recognizes your subscription automatically, so you only need a djay account if you want to connect that subscription to a different platform.

Important info

A djay account is not where you manage your subscription or sync your music library between devices. It only connects the subscription you already own across your devices.

How to create a djay account

To create or sign in to your djay account:

1. Open the Settings menu in the djay app.
2. Tap My djay Account.
3. Follow the prompts to create or log in to your account.

Signing in with an Apple, Google, or Microsoft account does not automatically restore purchases made through those stores.

To restore a previous purchase, ensure you sign in to the same Apple, Google, or Microsoft account you used to make the purchase and then use Restore Purchases.

Using your PRO subscription across multiple platforms

Your PRO subscription can be used on up to five devices across iOS, macOS, Android and Windows:

To use your subscription on more than one platform:

1. Purchase a PRO subscription on your preferred store (Apple, Google, or Microsoft).
2. Open the djay app and go to Settings > My djay Account.
3. Sign in to your djay account on that device to link your subscription to it. See How to create a djay account above if you haven't already created it.
4. Log in to the same djay account on your other devices to unlock PRO features there too.

Using your PRO subscription on Vision Pro

If your PRO subscription was purchased through your Apple ID, you can use it across Apple devices, including Vision Pro, iPhone, and Mac.

Subscriptions purchased on Windows or Android cannot be transferred across platform to Vision Pro.

How to delete your djay account

1. Open the djay app.
2. Navigate to Settings > My djay.
3. Under My djay Account, tap on the drop-down menu at your email address and select Delete Account.

You can recreate your account anytime as per the How to create a djay account steps above.

Managing older (legacy) versions of djay

If you're using a djay version released before v5.0, you don't need to create a djay account, as it's only useful for PRO subscribers who want to use their subscription across multiple platforms.

To restore your purchase, use the Restore Purchases option in the app store where you originally bought the app (not through a djay account), signing in with the same Apple, Google, or Microsoft account you used originally to make the purchase.
