Generally, every USB audio mixer is compatible with djay Pro AI for Mac. If your DJ mixer is not class-compliant, you need to make sure that you've installed the necessary driver to run audio through it. If you have any audio issues with your mixer, please make sure to check the "I can’t hear any audio through my master/pre-cueing output" section in our Controller Troubleshooting Guide.
When you connect your mixer, djay will automatically detect the device and set it to external mixer mode. You can always double-check this mixer mode was chosen correctly in the Devices tab in djay Pro AI's Preferences (⌘+,):
Please note that in external mixer mode, djay is not able to detect the position of the crossfader. As a result, the internal recording function and Automix cannot be used in this mode.
Battle Mixers
Most mixers do not have MIDI buttons/faders/knobs and only act as an audio device for djay. However, some mixers (like the RANE Seventy or the DJM-S11) do have MIDI integration and allow you to control djay. These two mixers are natively supported on djay Pro AI, which means the MIDI mapping and audio device settings should be set automatically. All you need to do is plug-and-play!
